About Husky Deli:

Husky Deli began as Edgewood farms a small grocery store purchased by Herman miller in 1932. Herman grew up on the Miller stock farm in Peru Indiana, and moved to Eastern Washington and bought a ranch which he sold to buy the store.  He ran the store with his daughter Alyce and his three sons John Hugh, Bob.  John and Alyce ran the store until Johns sons Jack and Joe took over. Husky is now owned by Jack 3rd gen and is managed by Ian Nichols, nephew and oldest grandchild.  Jack was born in West Seattle, attended Holy Rosary, Seattle prep and UW. He has worked full time managing the deli for 30 years with the help of his 8 siblings and now his nephew Ian. His daughter Kate two sons John and Tony and the 24, 4th generation millers are waiting to be old enough to help. The Miller family has strong ties in West Seattle and promises to be a big part of our beloved town for years to come.
